  • curcuma siam
  • Last repotting date: 4 months ago

  • Water need: When watering, be careful. Too little or too much can wreak havoc on your china doll plant. The soil should be kept moist, but the roots shouldn’t be allowed to sit in water. Water only when the top inch of the soil is dry to the touch.
  • Spray:
  • Sunlight needs: For best growth, give your china doll plant a lot of bright (but indirect) sun. It needs at least 4-5 hours of sun per day, even indoors. If you don’t have a spot in your house that gets that much light, you should consider purchasing indoor grow lights to supplement.

  • Last repotting date: 3 months, 1 week ago
  • Water need: Since banana trees are tropical and originate in rain forests, they need a lot of water and plenty of moisture in the air. They do best when in groups rather than as single specimens. Keeping plants close together helps retain moisture in the leaves. Provide about half a cup of water weekly and check frequently to make certain the soil stays evenly moist. Avoid over-watering which can cause root rot. The soil should be moist but not soggy at all times, if possible.
  • Spray:
  • Sunlight needs: Most types of bananas plants prefer bright, indirect sun. Some variegated varieties can scorch easily and will do better in partial shade. Banana trees can also adapt to lower light levels but will grow slower.
